What is old photo restoration?
It means repairing a photo degraded by time using AI: removing scratches, stains and folds, recovering sharpness and faces, and reviving or adding colors — all while keeping the original authentic.
Can you colorize a black & white photo?
Yes. Colorization is optional and included: the AI adds natural, believable colors. You keep the choice between the restored black & white and the colorized version.
Can a very damaged photo be restored?
Often yes: scratches, stains, light tears and heavy fading. Extreme damage (large missing or torn areas) is beyond the AI’s reach. Since the preview is free, you judge on your own photo before paying.
How long does restoration take?
Usually 1 to 3 minutes per photo, sometimes longer when the service is busy. The before / after preview appears automatically.
Can you enhance faces in a group photo?
Yes. The AI processes every face in the photo, not just the main one — and it also harmonizes clothing, background and overall mood.
Does the result stay natural?
It is our priority, but AI may interpret some details. Compare the preview with the original before paying: severe damage can produce an imperfect result.
Is it free?
Uploading and the before / after preview are 100% free. You only pay when you download the HD file, no subscription.
Can I download in high resolution?
Yes. The final file is clean and watermark-free, with the long edge limited to about 2,048 px. Check that resolution before making large prints.
Which formats are accepted?
JPG, PNG and WEBP, up to 25 MB per photo. Some devices cannot decode HEIC; export it as JPG in that case. Easiest way: photograph the print flat and glare-free.
Do my photos stay private?
Yes. Your photos stay in your private space until you delete the project or account. They are sent securely to our AI providers for restoration and are never published or resold.
